Keg at mother Kelly’s. A hazed reddy brown coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is weird plastic dusty, hockey puck, stale brown bread, dank hop. Flavour is composed of toasted malts, acidified malts, dank, lemon tart, woody, guava, . Palate is acidic, medium bodied, airy frothy carbonation. Prickly pear. Pretty unique beer but not my thing.

Craft St Mary Axe. Keg. Cloudy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Airy palate with a crisp trailing bite. Malts are thin and a little fluffy, trace of creamy sweetness. Lemon sherbet and fruity ginger on top of hop skunk and mild pine. Dry crisp finish. Amusing but also a little clunky, doesn’t quite gel for me. Certainly passable though.

Draft. An unclear brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of bread, cinnamon, ginger, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of ginger combined with notes of malt, lemon, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry spicy finish. Not me.

Bottle at home, 16th December 16. Pours a murky brown drink. The aroma is slight citrus, malt, ginger, smells good. Taste is ginger forward, malts, spice, slight chocolate, some typical brown ale character, but not quite as much as I would like. OK.
