Lovely dark orange, with some sparkling carbonation and white foam. Smells lactic sour, lots of cherries. Taste is nicely sour, close to puckering, but the sweet cherries balance is out. Plenty of vinous notes from the barrel, not much vanilla. Damn good.

Bottle. (thanks Tom) Hazy reddish/orange with a small head. Aroma of funk, vanilla, some cherries and oak. The same in the taste. The body was medium and the finish quite tart. A decent one.

Bottle picked up from Otters Tears, Online shop, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, consumed at Builth Wells, Powys, Wales in the company of Baz, Jude, Bayley, Dom and Georgia Saturday 30th December 2017 Pours hazy mid amber with a white head. The nose is reminiscent of Rodenbach, there is wet wood, it's got tart cherry. In the mouth it's similar, tart, fruity, zappy with a wet woodiness. Lovely. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Nice subtly sweet sour ale from Almanac, clever in the way the cherries and vanilla complement the lacto sourness and the woodsy oak finish. Tart lemon, mild wheat, and a strong vinous streak on the back end lead to a yeasty, oaked cab fade. Tasty. Pours pink with a brief white head and no lace. Yeast, lemon, and cherry on the nose. Crisp, sparkly texture is just right. Tasty beer.

Bottled 375ml. -from Beergium. Golden/amber coloured, minimal white head, tart cherry nose. Tart cherries, distinct vanilla, notes of red wine and light vinager. Notes of wood in rather tart finish. Maaaybe vanilla is a bit too noticable for my taste.
