On tap. Pours a beautiful - if hazy - warm red with a tiny pinkish head. Fairly discreet fruit aroma, strangely indefinable with no particular distinctive cherry character, a very subdued tartness. Light body, the cherries get more pronounced now and so does the tartness - actually this gets distinctly sour, bordering astringent. This isnโt as fresh and quaffable as the peach version. 111112

Keg at Cocks Tavern. Very hazy (ahem) cherry coloured beer with a tidy pale pink head. Sour fruity yohgurt nose. Palate is crisp and dry. Tingling sourness, wine type of sourness not the vinegar type thank God. Tart sherbet cherry and other red fruits. More sherbet before the dry finish. Weird nose but I actually enjoyed the sherbet fruit on this one. A second one later on that same day proved a bit too much yoghurt. I think the trick with this one is to drink cold, it suppresses the yoghurt.

King William IV, Leyton. 3.7% - tasting cleaner now and sans the yohgurt which is good but also the sherbet which is a shame!

Keg at the Cock Tavern, London. Pours hazy, deep red with a fine, creamy head. Nose of funky fruit, cherry, tangy berries. Light sweet flavor, very tart, with up front funk and tang, then background rich, dark cherries. Bit of lactic tang, strong acidity. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp and tart to finish, some cherry pit bitterness, funky cherries, lemon acidity. Pretty good. The fruit character becomes a bit jammier as the beer warms. Nice.

Slightly above 1/3 of a pint draft @ Brewdog as part of a sampler. Very bright lovely cherry red, only some fungus looking slits for head. Nose is lightly acidic sour, almost medicinal sourness, red chewy candy, some sewage water, lacto and light gummy beers. Taste is a light cherry sourness mixed with some lemon, light acidity mixed sewage water, light lactic leading up to a bitter finish, floral, herbal, candy. Lighter carb. slightly sticky. Okay but not exactly what it should be.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a slightly hazy reddish color with a white head. Has a fruity dry cherry aroma. Fruity slightly sour tart dry cherry flavor. Has a fruity sour tart weak cherry finish.

Keg at the Evening Star Brighton. It pours cloudy red with a medium pink-white head. The nose is creamy, fresh cherry, lactic, wet leaf and butter. The taste is dark cherry, lip-smacking sourness, lactic acid, cherry pip and red berry yoghurt with a long, sour finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and high level of sourness. The diacetyl on the nose is off-putting, however the taste makes up for it.
