16 ounce can from Tavour. Jet black pour. Large, dense tan head. Roasted malt aroma has subtle notes of hazelnut and vanilla. Flavor is more of the same. Roasted malt, vanilla, hazelnut and oak. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Some residual bitterness on backend. Well done.

Pint can, 2025 vintage. Hazelnut aroma with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, bourbon and oak. Pours deep brown with a finger of creamy mocha brown head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt, chocolate and hazelnutty flavors as well as having a rich, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with vanilla, bourbon and oak flavors. A little unrefined but still quite delicious.

Can. Pours clear chestnut, medium tan head, good residual and lacing. Aroma is nutty, whiskey, roasty, vanilla. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium body. A bit rough and unrefined. Not my favorite.

Can - pours jet black with a thick tan head that settles to a clingy lace - nose is vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, whiskey, oak, earthy, mushroomy malt - creamy texture, full body - unlike other beers with this kind of adjunct addition, it is not overly sweet and the hazelnut and vanilla do not bludgeon you over the head - they are present but compliment the barrel treatment and malt tones of chocolate, coffee, slight umami, light red wine - warming, lightly oaky finish - it’s nice.

16 oz can from a four pack from Costco. Aroma has notes of coffee, hazelnut, vanilla, licorice, cocoa, wood, molasses. Pours very dark brown to black with a one finger tan head with decent retention. Taste is fairly sweet with a firmly bitter edge. Roasty flavors of the aroma descriptors. Mouthfeel is nearly velvety but more prickly.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a monstrous and persistent creamy tan head that started to lace but sort of stalled. Aroma of chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla. Also a bourbon note. Med plus body. Flavor is the aroma. Hazelnut is strong. Bourbon second. Chocolate third. Malty as heck, but I don't have a word to apply to it. Strong, smooth flavors.
