Grunt fill from Albertsons. Pour is just average, but it gets good in a hurry. Dark chocolate aroma, minor notes of the citrus. Taste is initially side tracked by the alcohol burn, but the dark chocolate bitterness comes next, followed by the orange sweetness. Nice slick, milky body, warmth calms down but heat is retained throughout. Really, really good stuff.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Opaque black color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, malt and orange peel. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, sweet orange and a touch of coffee. The finish is sweet with a chocolate and orange aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was strong chocolate and cocoa powder with hints of marshmallow, vanilla and orange. The flavor was outstandingly strong chocolate and cocoa powder with a boozy almost vodka presence and a hint of orange peel. Long finish. Thick and full bodied. Marvelous.

Bottle from Paul, thanks for the opportunity. Solid black color with a tan head that persists. Huge chocolate on the nose and in the flavor. bitter pithy orange notes at times seems artificial and chalky, Decent beer overall

Draft at Johnson’s Seafood House, Northwood, NH. Pitch black color, lasting head retention. Aroma is layers of chocolate, sugar, Coco powder. It smells like a.melted chocolate bar!
br> The flavor follows the aroma, huge chocolate. The orange peel is noticed pretty well with slight bitterness toward the finish. Orange is here but low. The alcohol is not shown. Full beautiful mouthfeel. This work very well. Tasty as hell!!

On tap at bitter creek boise. pours out black with a odd little orange highlights around the edge of the glass topped with a tan head. Nose is very fun as advertised it is chocolate covered orange gummy slices. Taste is more of the chocolate covered gummy slice. This is very cool.

Opaque black pour with a head that is no more than a thin scum of tan. Aroma of freshly unwrapped, fresh, rich chocolate. The flavor is rich chocolate with just a touch of orange. No hop bitterness or flavor. Sweet dessert beer.

Bottle brought from USA. Black coloured with a stable beige head. Nose is massive chocolate, orange peel, roasted malts, bit of coffee. Flavour is dark chocolate, roasted malts, fairly bitter, slightly alcoholic. Reminds me of the Pim’s orange cookies.

Southern tier choklat orange 10% Bottle shared by Mick. Deep black with a tinge of beige foam. Very sweet soft chocolate aroma. Med-full bodied with a soft round carbonation. The taste is dark bitter chocolate, but I did not get much orange (though others said they did). Damn fine though.

Shared 22 oz. bottle. Pours black with a short-lived tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Chocolate and roasted malt dominate the flavor. Some orange is present, but subdued, and it has an artificial taste which is detrimental to the overall flavor. Starts sweet on the tongue and progresses to a more bitter finish. Heavy body, viscous. Overall, it’s pretty good but not great.
