Goblet at MacGregors. Deep, cloudy black with a pretty, rocky read. Nose is chocolate syrup and orange, like a Belgian orange chocolate. Flavor is quite extreme: like a chilled cocoa drink with a shot of Grand Marnier in it. Boozy orange flavor. Very sweet. Not a good summer beer. Tasty enough despite the low drinkablilty.

Bomber from Tavour. Nose is big on chocolate, sweetness, and hints of orange & caramel reminding me vaguely of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup from my childhood many years ago. Black with a medium lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is moderately sweet chocolate with hints of orange and bitterness.

Bottle. Opaque dark brown with large spongy tan head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, bitter mocha taste with orange in the background, alcohol undertones, full body, long bitter finish. The orange flavor is not very pronounced, though the bitterness of teh orange peels is.

Looks like tootsie roll, smells like tootsie roll and tastes like tootsie rolls. This one is crazy. Not in a great way. It’s just very interesting. There’s a sharp lingering bitterness. No alcohol legs. No head.

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Pour is just average, but it gets good in a hurry. Dark chocolate aroma, minor notes of the citrus. Taste is initially side tracked by the alcohol burn, but the dark chocolate bitterness comes next, followed by the orange sweetness. Nice slick, milky body, warmth calms down but heat is retained throughout. Really, really good stuff.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Opaque black color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, malt and orange peel. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, sweet orange and a touch of coffee. The finish is sweet with a chocolate and orange aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was strong chocolate and cocoa powder with hints of marshmallow, vanilla and orange. The flavor was outstandingly strong chocolate and cocoa powder with a boozy almost vodka presence and a hint of orange peel. Long finish. Thick and full bodied. Marvelous.

Bottle from Paul, thanks for the opportunity. Solid black color with a tan head that persists. Huge chocolate on the nose and in the flavor. bitter pithy orange notes at times seems artificial and chalky, Decent beer overall

Draft at Johnson’s Seafood House, Northwood, NH. Pitch black color, lasting head retention. Aroma is layers of chocolate, sugar, Coco powder. It smells like a.melted chocolate bar!
br> The flavor follows the aroma, huge chocolate. The orange peel is noticed pretty well with slight bitterness toward the finish. Orange is here but low. The alcohol is not shown. Full beautiful mouthfeel. This work very well. Tasty as hell!!

On tap at bitter creek boise. pours out black with a odd little orange highlights around the edge of the glass topped with a tan head. Nose is very fun as advertised it is chocolate covered orange gummy slices. Taste is more of the chocolate covered gummy slice. This is very cool.
