A dense, low tan head on a near black body. A punchy nose features chocolate fudge cake, a touch of coffee and orange. A luscious dessert beer. Taste features chocolate, big orange, crème brule, cream and cake. A Grande Marnier heat and a touch of pepper add to the experience. Sweet, dense and a touch sticky. Great in small amounts.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Stas. Black. Big chocolate aroma, some roast, a bit of orange. Sweet flavor, chocolate, some roast, some orange, some alcohol. Quite full-bodied.

bottle - Pours black with a minimal tan head. It has a rich, chocolate and malt aroma. The flavor is sweet with roast malt, loads of chocolate, and as it warms the orange comes through more and more. It's full bodied and definitely qualifies as dessert. Excellent. I really enjoyed this one.

On tap. Pours black with short light tan head. Aromas of dusty dark chocolate and rich roasted malts. Flavors follow same with subtle orange and more rich dark chocolate with almost a mint hint. Really a superb chocolate liqueur.

Goblet at MacGregors. Deep, cloudy black with a pretty, rocky read. Nose is chocolate syrup and orange, like a Belgian orange chocolate. Flavor is quite extreme: like a chilled cocoa drink with a shot of Grand Marnier in it. Boozy orange flavor. Very sweet. Not a good summer beer. Tasty enough despite the low drinkablilty.

Bomber from Tavour. Nose is big on chocolate, sweetness, and hints of orange & caramel reminding me vaguely of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup from my childhood many years ago. Black with a medium lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is moderately sweet chocolate with hints of orange and bitterness.

Bottle. Opaque dark brown with large spongy tan head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, bitter mocha taste with orange in the background, alcohol undertones, full body, long bitter finish. The orange flavor is not very pronounced, though the bitterness of teh orange peels is.

Looks like tootsie roll, smells like tootsie roll and tastes like tootsie rolls. This one is crazy. Not in a great way. It’s just very interesting. There’s a sharp lingering bitterness. No alcohol legs. No head.
