Dry Cider. Still.

All the sourness, bitterness, acidity and astringency you would expect from a fully fermented dry cider. Perfectly balanced, so easy to drink and great with cheese and roast pork.

Bottle from Tebay Services. It pours clear rich orange colour with no head. The aroma is funky farmyard, musty, earth, wood, apple skin, honey, and apple pie. The taste is firmly dry, slightly tart, tannin, tangy, apple skin, touch of lemon sherbet, wood, barnyard and some acidity with a drying finish. Medium body and flat. Proper cider right here. Unashamedly dry. Nice stuff.

Cask at the earl of Essex. A translucent golden coloured pour with no head. Aroma is pungent, funky, hint of vinegar, car tyre fire, sour apple funk, rustic dung. Flavour is composed of super funky, sour tangy apple, hairspray, lambic, funky, tangy, spicy sour apple, woody apple pips. Very complex. Palate is semi sweet, tangy apple, dry dusty finish.. Nice complex rustic sour yeast profile.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden orange with no bubbled. Nose - sour apples and dry apple skins. Taste - yeah, loads of the dry apple skin and sour fruit again. Palate - close to medium bodied with a dry tangy texture that continues through the finish. Overall - proper traditional, still, dry, strong scrumpy.
