A black beer, a head is small and brown. Aroma has dried fruits, liquorice, salt liquorice, caramel, strenght of alcohol. Taste has salt liquorice, caramel, dried fruits, some barrel, no alcohol. Full bodied. Too sweet. Better than DH 9 Whiskey edition. Good beer.

330ml bottle in a box, 04326/11760, batch 2851. Thanks to Finn, shared with him and Leif. Deep black body, filmy layer, scattered lacing. Attractive aromas of sweet grapes and roasted caramel malts. Powerful taste of vanilla chocolate, sweet grapes, and caramel. Oaky and vinous. Warmth from the alcohol towards a solid and lingering aftertaste with a note of bourbon. Slow sipper qualities (Tromsø, 10.03.2026).

330 ml bottle in excessive packaging, from Vinmonopolet Stavanger Tasta. ABV is 16%: Pitch black colour, minimal brown head of poor retention. Aroma of molasses, fusel, chocolate, coffee, oak and tokaji sweet wine. Very sweet flavour with the same elements, more distinct tokaji now, also distinct bittering hops. Not superbly balanced. Way overpriced.

Bottle. Vinous, with roasted malts, coffee, dark sugar, toffee, oak, spiced hints, alcohol, some leather and tobacco, and a piney hoppyness. Sweet, with a decent bitterness. Combined with the alcohol warmth it prevents the beer from feeling too sweet. Think it's too sweet anyway though, but delicious anyway, and the cask used certainly adds something to the beer. A bit curious to see if it ages well. 848516 260116

Full body, low carbo. Very high sweetness and alcohol, unpleasantly sharp booziness. Lots of dark chocolate, med dark fruits, light coffee. Very annoying alcohol though. Goodish.

Tap at Valhalla Prague, thx Zhenya! Black body, off-white head. Cocoa, raisin and caramel, bourbon barrel notes, dusty. Fruity taste, cocoa, roast, tobacco, complex, well integrated sweet wine notes- but not too sweet - or alcoholic. Lovely in some ways!
