A mild haze on this amber brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a soft caramel and cream, not that sweet. Plenty of esters in the mid, fruity esters. High ester rum and a little fruity rum. Soft smooth finish. Fully flavoured and purdy drinkable, just too estery to be top banana in my book .

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, almost black, beige head. Aroma: Dark malt, sweetish and spicy Rum, some dark dried fruit. Taste: A little overwhelming sweetish and spicy Rum, combined with dark malt, some dark fruit (figs, hints of raisins), teak wood. Boozy hints. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness. I like the spiciness.
