Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours deep/dark brown with a small, bubbly khaki head. The aroma is rich and robust, oily, earthy, medicinal, spicy, peat reek is definitely there, Islay whisky, umami, salty liquorice, dried and dark fruits, fig, raisin, sultana, date, cacao nibs, jammy, fruit cake, Dundee cake and slightly charred. The taste is firm, dry, chewy, toothy, toasty malts, charred oak, umami, liquorice allsorts, juicy plum dark and dried fruits, raisin, sultana, date, prune, fig, black grape, some oak tannin, medical, smoky, Islay whisky and some warming alcohol with a dry, fruity finale. Medium+ body, light carbonation and oily mouth feel. Could be done with a bit more carbonation to lift it. Nice depth to it. Enjoyable I'd a touch heavy.

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, almost black, beige head. Aroma: Dark malt, peaty Whisky, some dark dried fruit, hints of Iodine. Taste: Nice blend of peated Whisky, dark malt, some dark fruit (figs, raisins), oak wood. Just over medium body, feeling a bit thin, below average carbonation. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Nice one overall.

13 September 2025. At 17de Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to the whole crew!
As "Amaris Laphroaig BA 2025", assuming this is the version they referred to. Lots of green apple (acetaldehyde), raisin, whisky. Sweet-sour green apple, pear. Whisky alcohol, where peat? Thin oily texture. Or they gave me the wrong version that I can't identify or something actually went wrong here. Disappointing, but I have another bottle at home for future reference.
