A modern West Coast IPA highlighting Nelson from the very start of the harvest. Brewed with hops from the historic, sixth-generation family farm at Eggers Hops (Lot EH25-027J-NSN) we decided to create an extremely lean malt bill using Pilsner malt and a touch of wheat to really let the hops shine.
We’re tasting bright citrus, sauvignon blanc, feijoa with a hint of durian.

Can at home, 14th December 2025. Pours clearish. It’s a decent beer, but the late pick was better for me

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 07/12/2025.
Almost clear golden orange topped with a lasting just off white head.
Nose is stone fruit, guava, grass, hop spice, lychee.
Taste comprises punchy tropicana, grass, white grape, pine resin, Nelson chimes, dank spike, grapefruit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spliced with danko come grassy NZ soaked hop bitterness.
Solid.

Tight white head on an unclear pale golden coloured body.
Lime, zesty & herbal aroma.
Medium bodied, soft over the tongue with a tingly cloying back.
Lime, lemon, earthy, white wine & green hop tastes with a bitter peppery finish.
Tastes fresh.

Can. Near clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied pale malts, a thin creamy sweetness. Soft cooling pine, some savoury skunk and, a decent showing of ripe white wine and grape, near as good as it gets these days. This 2025 crop of NS, for me, the best in a decade plus but still not as good as the early naughties when it would have enough presence to make sure it was heard loud and clear in any beer it was put in. Anyway, enough of the past, this is a good Nelson brew.

On tap at the Southampton Arms, London on 10th October 2025. Opaquely hazy dull yellow with dense, whitish foam affording scant lacing. Peachy fruitiness in aroma. Sharp citrus and tropical fruits abound in-mouth, and finish retains this fruity balance. There is just the suggestion of salt. Smooth yet crisp mouthfeel and a fair amount of body.
