From can at Remko's Bierproefavond november 2025. Didn't take notes, just enjoyed the beers and good company. What I do remember: Christmas spices, ginger, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malt. Nice.

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of chicory, dark chocolate, cake spice and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with a bit more emphasis on cake spice plus chocolate icing. Very good.

Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth rich dark chocolate malts, a nice dark malt creamy sweetness. Vanilla sits on top as quite the sweet counterpoint. Floral black and white pepper is abundanct on the back end which also has a rich candy chocolate cake vine going on. Well, I could not drink a lot of this but, that isn't always a bad sign. This brew is like a small and overpriced pud in a posh restaurant. Tasty, intense and when you are done you are happy but, wouldn't want another. A fairy unique beer in my experience.

On Draft at the Brew Tavern, Nottingham. Off black colour. Some warming Christmas spice, with ginger with sweet chocolate fudge. Is this my first Christmas beer of the season!

330ml can. Pours jet black with no head. Aroma is dark chocolate cake, ginger, cinnamon and Christmas spice. Taste has cakey dark chocolate to start with lots of Christmas spice on the finish. Oily mouthfeel.

On tap at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, milky bar, fudge, light smoke. Taste is a very nice mix of the above plus some almonds & pecan. Rich, sweet & warming finish. Exceedingly flavoursome.
