Hazy very pale yellow. Musty with vinegar and a faint apple. Long vinegar finish. Not good at all.

Bottle. Ok, I loved this cider. It tasted great. But the think with cider is it tastes like apples so what else can you say. This one was cloudy yellow and smelled and tasted like....apples.

On tap at Schilling Cider House - PDX, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out champagne yeast, farmhouse funk and some barnyard notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry tangy citrus, farmhouse funk, and champagne yeast. Complex and well-balanced. Very good.

750ml bottle from New Beer Distros. Gouden Carolus goblet. Slightly hazed, bubble, straw-colored body. Smells of very soft sea foam, minerals, pickled veggies, apricot, wet hay & leftover yeasties. Taste has an odd, unfamiliar funk to it. More English then Spanish. Saline, lime tartness, table grape sweetness, veg & residual yeast on the end. Floral pears. Super acidic & bone dry. Prickly carbonation. Pears save it. Really yeasty finish(I swear I kept the bottle still).

Draught at Spuyten Duyvil, 4/16/16.
Lightly hazy, light amber-copper body is topped by a light ring of white bubbles.
Heavily fruity in the nose, with a good dose of pepper phenols and dry pearskin-like notes. Some cellar/musty character is deeply intertwined with the sugars and you do get a very rustic, farmy feel that still provides a good deal of apple juice character, as well. No alcohol or flaw.
Sweet and yet growing more dry and musty on the end, with plenty of earthy, fruit skin and strong phenolic pepperiness. Ample sugars, however, for balance and body, though it’s not tannic much. Interesting and drinkable, though maybe just a touch too sweet. Carbonation is moderate and engaging, no alcohol or flaw.

Sampled at Max’s Rare and Obscure Part 8. Pours a clear limey gold with zero head. Nose has apple skins, rotting apple core, some funk, lemon. Flavor is a bit sweeter than the nose lets on, apple juice, mild honey, some straw, an odd cold smoke thing. Sweet finish.
