Dark golden amber color. Lively, fresh aromas of blueberry cereal, toasted orange bread, and mixed peppercorns with a supple, crisp, bubbly, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a smooth, interesting, medium-long sprouts, fresh blueberries, and wheat wafer finish. A fun, fruity, tangy wheat beer with nice style and balance.

On tap. Pours a clear dark amber with a blue tinge and a medium, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of blueberries and wheat malt. Sweet flavour of blueberries, wheat malt and bread with a dry finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Ok.

Pours a clean red-amber colour with a warm cap, decent lasting with a nice coat that tops the brew. Blueberry aromas with Belgian Ale yeast giving candy notes. The blueberry flavours are quite mild with some mineral water. No tart, no syrupy feel. No over sweetness. Seems like the Ephemere family gets lighter tasting every time. Becomes a little hazy near the end of the bottle.

A pinkish reddish ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice blueberry jam, light acidity, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light blueberry jam, light acidity, curacao, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. Bottle from LCBO.

Probably the weakest of the Ephemere line I’ve had so far. Light blueberry with some malt. Some Unibroue house yeast. Light sweet finish. Tap at Ginger Man.

This wheat/fruit ale poured a cloudy, medium/dark red colour with a huge, bright white fizzy head. Scents include blueberry jam, light caramel and sugar. Not much lacing. First swig was quite carbonated. almost a sharp carbonation. Flavours of blueberries, cardboard and cereal. Very thin mouthfeel, as close to watery as you can get. Finish was a little bitter with very light hop flavours and a almost club soda bite on the tongue. Sadly disappointing compared to the last green apple one i had...

Sampled on draft at D’s this beer poured a pinkish color with a huge creamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was musty, dryish and dusty with artificial blueberry and a hint of medicine. The flavor was artificial blueberry, medicine, dust and was a bit off. Long finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Bottle from the LCBO. Never seen the blueberry before. And blueberry is tough to get right, (that Mill Street mistake a few years back springs to mind.) The pour is what you would expect pink/purple with a little cloud, a few fingers of white head on a careful pour, just to make me wait. The nose delivers the blueberries, almost artificial, flat malt in the back. The taste is a little flatter than I expected. Blueberry is there, but without the pop the nose delivers, sweet without being sickly. The wheat supporting it is weak, flat, and missing all the complexity to make this really interesting. Nice on a hot day to quaff it up, but not to think about too much.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, best before 5/20/2018. Pours hazy reddish-orange/pinkish color, with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass; with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lightly tart blueberry, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, blueberry, spices, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart blueberry, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness, with light fruit tartness/tangy wheat on the finish; with lingering notes of blueberry, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, wheat, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, blueberry, spices, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from carbonation/spiciness as well. High carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an outstanding witbier! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, blueberry, spices, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
