Sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Hazy red color, medium to full sized soapy off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, herbs and spices, sweet-bitter. Don’t like it. Not my thing at all.

Thank you! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Apparently uses ginseng just like the other beers from the Ging series which appears to be a new contract brewer. The question here is of course bloody why? Deep red amber, little tanned head. Nose is sweet chemical cleaning agents, licorice, herbal, bay leaves,… Taste is cleaning agents, industrial, herbal, sweet, cough syrup, overly sweet,… Solid herbal body. Far too industrial & the excessive spices make it taste a bit too much like cleaning products. Ginseng doesn’t seem to like a spice that you should go crazy with.
