Aromas are dark malt, roast and a bit of tobacco. Flavors are similar to nose. Bittersweet with decent body and carbonation. Straightforward dark beer. Nothing special but very drinkable.

16 oz plastic glass draft at the UCBC Flight Bar in the St. Louis, Missouri airport. The pour is a clear brown amber with a small off white head. The aroma is rich malty along with nuttiness and a hint of grassy earthy hop towards the back. The taste is a nice clean blend of the malty nuttiness and soft grass and earth. The palate is medium bodied with softer natural carbonation and the clean malty finish. Tasty, easy drinking Amber/Dunkel kind of thing.

16oz can from Tavour. Brown pour, clear, tan head settles to thin layer, spotty lacing. Toasty malt aroma, nutty, woody, mild sweetness. Taste is malty, cola flavors, nutty, sweet notes, then dry at the finish with the faintest hit of bitterness.

Rich and dark without being overly sweet. Presents notes of caramel, toasted bread, and grain, with hints of fruit and a modest floral bitterness on the back end. Very good.

Sample at Urban Chestnut Flight Bar. Clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, fruit and caramel in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, mild earthy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
