Omdat hij de afgelopen twee jaar zo goed in de smaak viel is er ook dit jaar weer Dubbelbock. Gewoon weer volgens het winnende recept.

De volle moutsmaak van de Münchener vormt weer de basis. Die wordt gecomplementeerd door rauchmout uit het Duitse Bamberg, de tarwe die zorgt voor het zachte en romige en de op turf gestookte variant waaruit de Isley whiskies gestookt worden. Een stevig bokbier met een vol en donker aroma. Een complex en zacht bier met een subtiel rokerig randje om rustig van te genieten. Weer of geen weer.

Fles gekregen, thuis geprobeerd. Het heeft een donker roodbruine kleur met een beide schuim. Het aroma is moutig en rokerig. De smaak is moutig, houtig, zoetig en rokerig.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Malt, caramel, roast and smoke in the aroma. Malty sweet caramelly flavor with dominant smoke, even peat, and milk chocolate. Almost full bodied. Compex. Very nice.

[ As ’t IJ Dubbel Bock Speciale Editie ].Clear dark brown red colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, sweet malt, light to moderate roasted - toasted, rubber - meat, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, smoke - rubber - meat, sweet malt, dark malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20170818] 5-4-5-3-10

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a golden orange glare. Small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty. Caramelish and light breadish. Smoked. Dry and roasted malty. Light metallic and smoked like. Lingering dark malty finish.

Bottle, TTOD(U)RGSB17. Clear dark red brown, beige froth. Malty aroma, some dark sugar and something green. Caramely flavour, dark sugar. Alcoholic, hoppy bitterness. And that weird green thing again. Coffee?

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering. NIce head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, fruits, hops and nuts. Nice bitter finish.

Sampled @ The Tenth Official Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2017, Day 1. A slightly hazy reddish brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of red malt, spruce, liquorice and caramel. Taste of caramelish sweet malt, red malt, toffee, liquorice, nice!

8 3 8 3 16 Bottle shared at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering ’17. Clear amber brown with a few floaters and a small cream coloured head. Aroma of caramel, rich malt, toffee, a light smokey note and overripe dark fruits. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
