Orange. Biscuit malt, sweet, fruity, caramel. Medium bodied. Not worth seeking out but decent enough on a whim.

Can, as pictured. No hi-hopes for this brew, its made by CB, the lowest scored brewery in my DB. Pour is orangish with stuff floating in there, quite a surprise. The aroma is that of mild sweet fruit perfume. Taste is thicker sweeter strongish ale with a tiny cloying effect. Must be because its at 55 degrees F. Big rocky alabaster head, does not fade. Yes, big sweeter turning cloying is more than I ever expected. I thought this was gonnah just be another pale lager, but what did I get? Another blunt hoppy ale with a large dull thump in the end. Not impressed but let me tell you, if you like stronger APA, give this a try, you will not be disappointed. Difficult somewhat medical finish, just like many craft ales.

16 ounce can from John’s. 1.79$. Pours a reddish color with a small white head. A light fruity nose. The flavor is surprisingly decent: caramel, toast, light cherries, some bready base malts. This is pretty smooth and not bad at all. More of an amber ale than a pale, let alone a modern pale. But for the price, very fair.

16 ounce can thanks to Dr. Silverworm! 3/25/16. Clear dark copper, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of, well, not much. Mild caramel and tinny hops. The taste is caramel malt, citrus, toasted malt. Thin bodied, okay.

Can: Dark orange-amber with a thick, beige head. Caramel, floral aroma. Taste is fairly metallic, caramel malt....on the bready side...very malty. Moderately bitter.....grows somewhat dull....not too bad, but a mediocre beer at best.

Can. Floral toffee malt and straw aroma. Dark amber with light tan head. Moderately sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter metallic hay flavor. Decent body.

16 oz. can. Dark maghony color, lasting white, foamy head. Nose is light bread, weak pine and yeast.
Flavor of caramel/ English toffee backbone. Almost no hops for balance but it does show some citrus. Malts give slight earth tones. Body is decent lighter side of medium. For a mass-produced ale, this is not bad. If this recipe is from the 1930’s I’m kind of impressed.
