Time flies as they say, and we have reached the twentieth edition of our boundary pushing Abstrakt series of beers. It is going to be one for the ages too, as we are going to the metaphorical town on AB20. We have brewed a coffee milk English barley wine, and have blended this with an equally stunning barrel-aged imperial stout. So think liquid tiramisu, backed by a rich and decadent layer of warming alcohol. And much more besides.

375mml. bottle as part of the "EFP Brewdog Advent Calendar. Day 7". @home. 09/12/2019. [#3.131 Global - #75 Scotland - #23 Brewdog].
Murky brown colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is dried fruits, vinegar and tobacco. Taste is sweet and flat. Licorice flat finish. Oversweet and boozy. Bottled in 2016, maybe just did not aged well.
Next one please!

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with no head or lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of heavy caramelized malt notes with some toffee, some residual sugar and light port notes. Body is about average with no carbonation. Took a little while to get used to the fact that there is no carbonation but enjoyable nightcap nonetheless.

At a tasting, many thanks, no head, very dark brown color, aroma of prunes, apricot leather and a hint of umami. flavor of coffee liquor, dark bread, earthy hint and lots of alcohol showing with some chocolate coming through. Nice and interesting in small measures, a little difficult to drink.

Thin beige head left a collar on a reddish brown still body. Massive woody aroma with oak, pine, under ripe berry & citrus. Medium to full bodied, super smooth with no carbonation, oily & slick down the throat. Bitter sweet berries, citrus, peach, plum, oak, wood & herb tastes - slightly medicinal. No hint of alcohol. This is so drinkable!
