From tap at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2017. Crisp and fruity aroma with citrus, plenty of wood, funk, touch of stone fruits, zest. Flavour is above medium sour with a surprising bitterness and a dry as bone finish. Body is medium. Good, surprisingly bitter, but lacks the complexity of a great Lambic. ************** Enjoyed again from tap at Other Half, New York, as a blend of 2016, 2017 en 2018. More complex than the previous edition I had. Upgrade.

Taste at the Weldwerks Invitational, 2025. Straw color, with a fair, frothy, off-white head. The nose is hard cheese, spruce, lemon verbena, and musty attic. Dry, earthy, and citrusy. Medium body, acidic, and sticky. Bright, sharp, and beautiful.

1500mL bottle at LC member party, 1/17/25.
Clear brass-golden. Well carbonated.
Nose is very lambic-like. Fruity Brett, soft horse blanket, mild oak and tons of stone fruit. Lean malts with biscuity/nutty wheat. Clean presentation, very bright.
A bit less impressive in the flavor with more lactic acid than Brett and other random notes that are interesting but move the beer farther away from a true lambic. More American sour notes in flavor, I suppose youd say. Still, nothing to scoff at, and in excellent shape with great body, texture and good attenuation.
