IPA

On tap at King St, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite highly hopped, with some pine, citrus and plenty of pithy bitterness. Flavour is bitter, with citrus peel and little pine. Bitter, citrusy finish. Nothing special but competently brewed.

Can at Darwin's: pours copper with a white head. Aroma is caramel, pine. Taste is sweet, bitterish. Malty.

From a pint can at Alyeska Resort. Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Aromas of spruce and pineapple. Flavors are bitter citrus.

Tap. Pours clear golden, hint of orange, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, pretty standard fare. Flavor is light sweet, quite bitter. Medium body.

Draft at the source. Hazy yellow color, thick bright white head. Peery, fruity aroma. Taste has pineapple and bitter tropical fruit. Tasty.

On tap at Humpy’s.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing roaming here and there.
The smell had a good sticky citrus bitterness to it. Light piney - ness enters in as it warmed.
The taste was basically the same as the smell. Light sweet piney aftertaste lead to a dry sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for me and for the style.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA that I could do again.

Golden, fruity, berryish, bitter, dry and fruity, a clean, decent if basic IPA.

Rich amber and copper coloured body with a frothy, five centimetre tall head. NOTE that upon opening the can, it exploded and beer went everywhere, and I probably lost 2 cL or so - I think this happened with my last King Street can as well, so probably common. Aroma of bright floral and grapefruity smells with some alcohol, malt and a hint of sugars noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppy flavour with some spices, flowers and quite a bit of grassy flavours, all with a definite yeast kick and some pineapple sweetness on the back end. Aftertaste shows a good blend of hops and malt, all with a nice earthy and sweet finish, good complexity throughout. Overall, aside from an exploding can when opened, a great beer and well worth bringing back home with you! I sampled this 12 ounce can purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home in Washington on the other end of this fine country on 05-March-2014.

Draft at Tap Root Beer and Mead Social: Poured a hazy yellow to orange with a cream off white head. Aroma is big piney hops, citrus fruits mainly grapefruit, and floral. Taste was very solid bitter piney hops, grapefruit, that was very well balanced with sweet malts and tropic fruit. Leaves the tongue tingling for more.
