Bottle at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours almost black with minimal tan head. The aroma is mainly fruitcake with some roasted malts. In the mouth initially there is plenty of milk chocolate, cola and roasted malts. Later on comes fruitcake, lactose, and occasional intrusions of tropical fruits. Finish is somewhat bitter and quite boozy. This is gorgeous.

Tap. Dark black, strong Cappuccino head. Soft sour pear coffee melon. Fluffy light cloud of nicely balanced long lingering coffee chocolate. So light.

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan smear for head. Aroma of smooth dark malt and chocolate. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is the aroma with the slightest touch of anise. Not very sweet. Moderately bitter. Good ale.

Thick nearly completely opaque black with slight red ruby tinge. Dark brown coffee head of a few mm, quickly dissipating. Great nose: coffee, chocolate, prune, raisin, fruitcake. Sweet milk coffee, vanilla, prune, christmas pudding, liquorice in the mouth. Nice fresh tartness to it too. Very nice.

330 ml bottle. My tenth Top 50 Porter rating! Opaque brown color. Frothy tan head. Roasty malt aroma hints at Worcestershire sauce. Rich, chocolate malt flavor upfront. Sticky mouthfeel. Earthy notes. Hints of caramel, burnt toast and bitter hops.

Mocno palone przechodzące aż w wedzonke, gorzka czekolada, praliny z nutą kawy zbożowej. Barwa czarna, mętne, piana znika do niskiej, brak lacingu. Goryczka zaznaczona, czekoladowa. Bardzo porządny porter bałtycki, dość lekko się pije.
