The beer began its aging journey in freshly emptied bourbon barrels, which impart rich layers of oak, warm vanilla, and subtle baking spice. It was then finished in cognac barrels, adding elegant notes of dried fruit and contributing to a rich, full mouthfeel.
Following the aging process, the stout was blended with Montmorency cherries, citrus, and panela–resulting in a velvety, decadent beer with flavors of candied dark cherry, soft vanilla, and a caramelized citrus finish.

Dark brown. No head. There's a nice rich umami note on the nose, a touch of cherry, with lots of dark bitter chocolate. Similar palate. The cognac hits in the finish, bringing a bit of fruitiness and dry vinous character. Dry, complex, nice malt richness. This is excellent.

16.9 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has rich cherries, cognac barrels, some cola, and booze. Flavour reveals lots of cognac-soaked cherries, cola, bourbon, and a touch of vanilla. Great blend of bourbon and cognac, finishing light-to-medium sweet, with gentle cherry character. Light-bodied, but nicely barrel-aged. Very good, but definitely not one of the best BCBS variants.

Poured from 500mL bottle (bottled 22 July 2025). Very dark brown with almost no beige head. Nice bourbon forward with feint cognac and cherry notes, comes together nicely.

Tasty, decently balanced, but certainly rich, boozy, some dark chocolate, berries, cherry perhaps. Somewhat understated for the heft, in a good way. Very drinkable.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to me. Near opaque dark brown beer, no real head. Airy palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Somewhat thin dark malts, a light but pleasing dark chocolate streak. Some alcohol spice. A light and slightly ripe cherry steak. Airy and semi dry finish. Light spicy linger. Goes down pretty easy but, I am struggling to understand why this is getting hyper rates.
Smooth, slightly sweetish and roasty with some bourbony vanilla, oak, cognac, licorice, hints of chocolate sauce, faint hints of cherries, prunes and toffee syrup. Quite elegant, complex slow sipper. Surprisingly balanced and tasty
