Bottle. Beer Stop Dronfield. Nearly black. God tier swede. Easy 10. Nose has tar. Resin. Burnt citrus. Heavy roast coffee. Taste is super bitter with loads of charred pineapple vibes. Touch of sugary sweetness on the lips. Rich and slick on the palate. Big bitterness to finish. Class.

Black with a booming tan head. Roasted malts followed immediately by pine and light citrus. After the hops it shifts back to more malt, coffee, light caramel, and earth notes. Medium bodied. Finish has dry roasted malts and pine. Very nice.
Slightly roasty, smooth and herbal grassy with some hints of fruits, pine, citrus, coffee and chocolate. Roasty and dry bitter finish. Old skoolish roasty porter with some herbal hoppiness

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with a tan head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of blueberry, espresso and roasted malt. Flavour of orange, dark chocolate and Twiglets. Medium to full body with a chewy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is the beer style I most love from the Kernel, and this is a rich and bitter beauty.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours jet black with a sturdy brown head. The aroma is rich, super dark roasted malt, charred pine, umami, sticky liquorice, allsorts toasted sesame seeds, cacao, pipe tobacco, some dark and dried fruits. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, chewy, toothy, rather savoury, plenty of umami, molasses, big hit of liquorice, burnt toast, dark chocolate, cacao nimbs, burnt toast, dried fruits, fruit cake, burnt pine and a lick of booze with a dark roasted finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Rich and robust. Perhaps a touch too savoury for it to compete against some of the other editions of this, but great nonetheless.
