On tap at Lanikai - Kailua, pours a hazy bright orange amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is loaded with big orange rinds, resinous hops, and sweet bready malt. Flavour is very bitter, with tons of bitter orange rinds, resinous hops, light pine, and just enough biscuity to back. Very bitter, with tons of orange rinds. Classic old school WC IIPA. Very good.

Draught at Tap and Barrel: pours deep golden with a white head. Aroma is citrus and pine. Taste is somewhat bitter, hefty pale malt backbone. Pretty solid.

Tap. Pours clear amber gold, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is very light and oddly floral, pine, hint of aspirin. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium plus bitter, floral with aspirin notes. Lightish body. Ungreat.

Bottle from ABC at Airbnb in Oahu. Slightly hazy amber-orange pour with medium white head. Piney hop and crisp biscuit malt aroma. Taste is piney and plasticky hop bite with sweet biscuit malt. Slightly slick mouthfeel. Medium booziness. So so. Wouldn’t get again.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma with light malt. Malt and grapefruit flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Malt/caramel and grapefruit linger with light pine and light tropical fruit.

Clear copper. Sweet citrus and rustic notes. Strong bitter finish. Some resin. A solid DIPA but a bit too bitter for its flavor.

A lightly hazed golden ale DIPA with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. In mouth, sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light butterscotch, oily mouth feel, a tad too sweet. On tap at brewery.

Slightly hazy orange and amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thin off-white head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of alcohol, pine, cleanser, grain and some rubbing alcohol - quite pungent. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and very piney hops with cleanser noticeable along with some subdued earthiness. Aftertaste is a bit plain with no major flavours nor complexities - just a touch of the hops and a little earthiness, nothing really. Overall, a bit bland and not imperial nor an IPA really. Definitely worth passing over, but if you’re like me and see this as an option compared to some of the other beers here, it strikes the eye. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at (of course) ABC Stores in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii on 28-December-2015 for US$10,99 sampled a day later in my hotel room here in Waikiki on 29-December-2015 - This store was the one under the underpass, on Lewers Street between Kahlia and Helumona Roads - close to Yard House, but not the closest to the Yard House - this store has a better selection of real beers than most of the ABC Stores.
