On tap at Pincho’s, Haarlem, as Valk Pils. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of swamp, grass, grain, a bit sweet. Flavour is light bready and malty at first, then turns sour, metallic, sour mash, grainy, nasty bitter, very short finish. Light-bodied. Not so good.

(25cl bottle) Clear, effervescent, golden-coloured hue with a lacey blond foamy head. Sweet and slightly acidic, sour-doughy nose with grassy, metallic hops. Sweetish, slightly bitter flavour, slightly corny and doughy taste; slightly bitter finish with a sticky sweetish aftertaste.
