Gravity poured third of a pint at the CAMRA Peterborough Beer Festival on 24th Aug 2016. Beige head on a reddy brown body. Slight burnt chocolate aroma and taste with other malty notes trying to get involved (liquorice and vanilla mostly): some fruitiness along the way too: pleasant.

On tap at The Cottage Norwich. Black beer lasting tan head. Diacetyl liquorice aroma. Two of my least favourite aromas. Settles down into a chocolate butterscotch beer which is not unpleasant. Carbonic acid on finish. I shouldn’t like it but it has a Dime bar quality I quite like. OK

The taste is smooth, toasty, some bitterness, charred wood, ash, earth, mild acidity, peppery spice and liquorice with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty alright.
