Unser naturtrübes Kellerbier ist eine Spezialität mit Geschichte und ein Biergenuss der besonderen Art, welcher früher nur den Braumeistern vorbehalten war, die es direkt vom Fass auf seine Reife und Qualität prüften. Heute kann sich jeder über den besonderen Biergenuss freuen. Die natürliche Trübung verleiht dieser traditionellen Bierspezialität ihren vollmundigen Geschmack und den ursprünglich kräftigen Charakter.

A nicer amber version of the style. Cleaner finish than most without the unfiltered taste coming through as a chalkiness. D&S dresden

Auch industrielle Großbrauereien versuchen sich in letzter Zeit den Anschein von kleinen Handwerksbetrieben zu geben (oder folgen dem Craft Beer Trend) und verwenden Begriffe wie Naturtrüb, Landbier, Zwickl und Kellerbier. Geruch getreidig, leicht malzig. Das ist auch geschmacklich vorherrschend. Hopfung dezent aromatisch. Gute Substanz, was etwas zu Lasten der Süffigkeit geht. Nicht schlecht. Was ich Krombacher hoch anrechnen muss: Bis jetzt habe ich zu diesem Bier bei Ratebeer noch keine Fake Profile / Bots entdeckt, die das Rating künstlich in die Höhe puschen. Das ist bei anderen Großbrauereien aber scheinbar Standard (mal drauf achten).

50cl bottle; BB 13th Oct 19. poured into an old 'Bolten Alt' tankard at home on 25th July 19. Unclear body, dull yellow in colour, full white crown on top, carbonation bubbles rising through to replenish the head from the bottom. Hoppy and yeasty in nature, yet there is a sweetness also, before a drying semi-bitter finish.

bottle from mallorca hazy to clear yellow, smooth white to offwhite head. aroma is very very mild, very faint malts. flavor is malts, sweet malts, bitter flavorless hops, all that being said it is an easy drinking slightly sweet malty beer that would do well as a session beer for sure. Lots more flavor than aroma.

On tap at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma and flavour of herbal German hops, sufficient malts throughout. Decent Kellerbier, might well drink again.

Süßlicher, mild getreidiger Antrunk. Weiche milde Herbe, geringe Würzigkeit. Wenig Hopfen, getreidig bleibend, minimal bitter. Tap at c2c. Hazy golden color thick rocky white head. Aroma is malty with white bread, mild dough and yeast. Balanced taste, thick moutfeel, ok.

Hazy amber. Aroma is fresh hoppy grape with some juicy malt. Taste is a little harsh hoppy tartness. Not very round. Ok.

Bottle, golden cloudy color. Lightly malty sour aroma over a nice head that disappears fast. Grainy flavor, not much hops, decent beer - better than I'd expect from Krombacher.
