A slightly stronger and more heavily-hopped saison recipe, brewed with spelt wheat and a pairing of Australian Enigma and New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops. Juicy white grape and tropical fruit star in the bright and zesty modern beer.

Thx! for sharing Benzai! Sampled draft @ Van Moll Fest 2016. Hazy citrus, little white head. Nose is low milky lemon hop, zest, fruity tad yeast. Body is doughy, grass, low grains, mango faint soap, lightly empty but overall pretty pleasant with citrus & dry grass notes. Could have been a bit drier & fuller for me but it is pleasant enough in its current state. Pretty good for a spelt beer which is not something that I often like.

RBESG in Barcelona, at Ale&Hop (can’t remember if it was on tap or bottled), ABV 6.2%. Golden colour. Hoppy, wheaty and spicy aroma and flavour, nice. A good saison.

8th July 2016 with the RBESG guys in Ale & Hop, Barcelona. golden beer, off-white head. Nose had a floral and slightly citrusy lead, the taste followed along the same lines but with a sweeter feel, even though there was a yeasty trace or two, before a dry hop finish. No farmyard esters, which I like to try and find in a Saison.
