Gift from a good friend. Insipid pour, doesn't look like much in the glass. And it tastes watery. Not worth the units.

A hazy brown colour, with a small, quickly dissipating beige head. Aromas of cookies, chocolate, nuts, and dried fruit. Not as nutty as the name suggests, with notes of dark chocolate and roastiness, tart fruitiness. A decent enough stout, but the nutty is the only aroma.

[44cl can from Beer52.] A clear chestnut brown pour with a thick beige head; hazelnut aroma; sweetish hazelnut praline taste; and a gentle earthy bitterness

440ml can at home on 5th February 2026. Clean brown body, off white crust. Not as nutty as the name suggests, some earthy chocolate notes and aromas but hazelnuts in my can. Decent enough Stout but lacked the main ingredient to me.

Keg at Mad Squirrel HWY, 27/12/2025.
Mahogany brown topped with a lasting beige head.
Nose is biscuit, chocolate, nutty, dried fruit rinds.
Taste comprises mellow roast, cocoa powder, toffee, dried fruit rinds, dark malts.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Passable stout ... a little thin on flavour for my liking.

Tap at the mad Squirrel tap watford. A jet black coloured pour with a lasting halo of khaki head. Aroma is semi sweet, dark chocolate, smoke, campfire, some toasted nuts, sweetness. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, dark chocolate some smoke, rounded barley, dark toasted nuts, hint of sweetness nicely rounds it out. Powdery finish. Palate is drying, highish carbonation... Not bad. Lingering dark roast and dark chocolate.
