Jenny Lake Lager is an amber colored Vienna style lager. An authentic German lager yeast strain insures a mild profile. Imported German malts impart a rich, caramel flavor which is balanced with the subtle use of continental hop varieties. The malt forward, slightly sweet profile of Snake River Lager makes it a fine complement to pizzas and red meat.

Copper color, with a very short lived off white head. Light caramel malt aroma. Malt flavor, some caramel and grain, with lager yeast. Solid. 6/3/7/3/15 Rerate from a fresh bottle. Big malt profile, the caramel is still there. Mild & dry hop aroma. This beer has excellent palate, and this is an outstanding session beer.

12oz bottle. Cloudy, amber-orange brown color. Thin, fading head. Sweet and malty, medium bodied. Caramel notes, pretty middle of the road. Some toasty amber notes. Easy drinking, but lacks much depth.

bottle - Pours dark copper with a one finger white head. It smells mostly of bready malt. The flavor is very sweet malt with a hint of fruit. It’s thin and seems off. The malt profile isn’t work for me and the hops is barely there.

Bottle pours a clear rather darker than I was expecting, deep golden color. Very slight of-white head and thin but very fine lacing. Slightly sweet fruity aromas of apricot, and apples. Light malts and little in the way of bittering hops. Sweet, soft, a bit papery and lively. Lagerish, light low hops and soft sweet maltiness. I was peasantly surprised and this was rather nice.

Pours a medium amber color with a thin white head that dissapated quickly. Smells a little musty, but very minute. Tasted of malts, brown sugar, a bit of citrus, a little bit of hopiness. Nothing to write home about.

This one came in my beer club and I am not familiar with the brewer. Another crap lager. Yeah. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a chestnut color with a large tan head. The aroma is sour vegetal malts. The flavor is sour, mildly vegetal and has a strong vinegar element. Drain pour.

Best Before October 2005 bottle from Liquor Mart. Consumed on 11/30/05.
Rusty copper colored beer, lightly hazy with just a trace of yeast settling out on the bottom. Some brighter strawberry red hues and an off-white head with fair retention and lacing, eventually receding to cover. In the nose is a lightly sour note, perhaps munich grains, and a hint of dry fruits (unripened berries, unripened nectarines). Dry, husky malts on the end. Smells just a touch metallic at first, but this passes. The flavor has plenty of medium-dry caramel, soily, lightly bitter hops and dry breadiness lingering. Moderately crisp yeast on the finish as well. Carbonation is moderate, pretty average for the style, while it has a lightly watery texture, though it’s not thin by any means. Surprised to find this is 6% abv, as it masks that very well and comes off as a very low gravity, albeit well-malted, session lager. Very even maltiness, not the most complex, but does provide bread, fruits, biscuits and light hops.
