Bottle. Black pour, small white head. Great aroma of passion fruit, peach, roast and coffee. Strong rich fruity taste of hop, passion fruit, citrus, pine, roasted coffee and caramel. Fruitfest, with a bitter finish. Great strong bipa.

On tap @ Kick. Black body with a small, creamy, pale beige head. Aroma has light roasted malt, mild coffee, ripe fruit and a hint of pine. Not very strong in the nose but pretty nice anyway. The flavor is sweet, dark malt, caramel, dry fruit, ripe citric fruit, chocolate, some pine and OK bitterness. Not really that bitter, but it makes a decent balance to all the other nice flavors here. Fine body and mostly sweet, dark malt aftertaste with just some light bitterness. Nice and tasty, not the most typical black IPA, but a nice dark, malty beer.

Mycket gott!

330mL bottle at Euston Tap, pours black with a small tan head. Nose reveals a good balance of caramel roasted malt and resinous hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with caramel, roasted malt, and resinous hops. Full-bodied and massively flavourful. Exceptionally balanced. Excellent.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark mahogany with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is grassy hop, light pine needle. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a big tropical fruit citrus, roasty malt, light alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

A colablack beer, a head is quite weak and beige. Aroma has grapefruits and pine, liquirice and roastiness, also some tropical fruits. The aroma is great and the notes of IPA are more dominating. Taste has grapefruits, pine needles, tropical mangos, liquirice. The bitterness is quite strong and that’s enhanced by roastiness in the end. Nice sweetness. Warming in the throat. Medium+ bodied, low carbonation, easy to drink. Succesfully and great BIPA, balanced.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey & Rafaela’s place. Thanks Ariel. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roast and piney hops. Flavor of roast, a bit sweetish, with quite a bit of bitter hops. Medium-bodied.

330ml bottle. Opaque, dark brown colour with ruby red glimmer, small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Integrated roasty dark malty and citrusy fruity, piney hoppy aroma delivers green onion notes; analysis may yield pineapple and orange zest on one hand, dark chocolate and cocoa on the other. Taste is initially bitter hoppy and bitter, roasty dark malty; notes of grapefruit, pineapple and orange zest with slightly sweet chocolately basis in the middle part; further decreasing bitterness in the finish.
