This beer is defined by its pronounced hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. It has a solid malt backbone that works with the citrusy American hops. The hop bouquet resonates like flavors of tangerine and ruby red grapefruit. The mouth feel is crisp and dry leaving a balance of bitterness and rich malt on the palate. It is golden honey in color.

Super hazy golden and honey coloured body with a rather large, slightly soapy, six centimetre tall just off-white head that leaves a very ugly lace. Aroma of grass, light resin, some grapefruit and citrus elements and a very tropical fruit hop and bitter bite - strong in the hops. Medium-bodied; Grassy and very dry hop bite at first without much perceived bitterness, but a nice flavour from the hops with a lightly piney, grassy and very herbal flavour throughout. Aftertaste shows a pretty good malt balance, a light sweet flavour, a touch of citrus and grapefruits and a moderate complexity near the end, mostly coming from the hops, but even from the malt and yeast are some good flavours. Overall, a pretty good IPA, not in the upper echelon, but a nice beer, with a good complexity, a dry beer that doesn’t show a decidedly West or even East-cost IPA standard, but a nice beer, especially fresh. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Supermarket Liqours in Fort Collins, Colorado on 05-June-2017 for US$1,75 sampled at home in Washington just three weeks later on 27-June-2017.

Part of a mixed 6-pack of cans I bought at Supermarket Liquors in Fort Collins.
No dating that I can find.
Served on the warm side, it looks a slightly hazy gold with a lot of foam. As the head shrinks, some lacing is left behind.
The smell is on the fruity and floral side hop wise. There’s an ample malt nose that appears to me to be sweetish.
It has a balanced taste; slightly sweet from the malt with a very light non descipt bitterness. Unusual flavours going on here but I am enjoying them.
One of the more balanced IPAs that I have tried. Not sure if it’s because of the age of my can or it is as the brewer intended. Either way, like I said, it’s quite enjoyable.

750 ml bottle purchased at Applejack in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The pour is a hazed orange copper with a three inch light tan head which is quite lasting and falls with nice lace. The aroma is nutty, softly coffee, with grassy floral hop and an interesting fresh cocoa smell. Interesting nose, very engaging. The taste is grass, lemon citrus hop, followed close behind by the toast, roast and nut of the coffee, which carries the finish. All flavors are integrated, balanced and pleasantly subdued. The palate is medium bodied, cleansing carbonation and a dry softly bitter and roast finish. Nicely integrated flavors, well done.

Tap at Colorado Plus - listed as Moirai IPA, but same abv and ibu, plus described as "american ipa," so I am assuming it is the same beer - a very clean ipa, with a lean malt backbone that leaves plenty of room for the hops to shine - hops are floral, earthy, resinous - at time they are a little cheesy and garlicky as well, but these qualities are subdued - spicy, fairly bitter finish - it’s alright.
