Bottle from the brewery. It pours clear deep red - brown with a decent beige head. The nose is rich, toffee, fudge, earthy, creamy, earthy, toast, bourbon, toasty coconut and wood. The taste is bitter, toasty, boosty, toffee, fudge, burnt caramel, oily, alcohol boost, sticky malt, bourbon and vanilla with a sweet, warming finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. A bit sticky. Too boosty and sticky perhaps. Not bad though.

Draught at Brewer’s Fork, 7/30/15.
Dark chestnut-mahogany body is beautiful with a smattering of dark beige, foamy head that recedes steadily to cover. Very good clarity.
Big, liquorous nose actually uses the alcohol beneficially to create a strong, but not sharp or hot aroma of cherries, vanillin, candied raisins, toffee and more various fruity esters. Alcohol used to balance the sweetness appropriately and the barrel-aging is done very elegantly.
Sweet, of course, in flavor, with tons of raisins, toffee, vanilla. The fruitiness is deliciously on point though and help keeps the beer from being just a bombardment of sweet, dull flavors. Alcohol, again, helps balance as does the ample carbonation. Not syrupy or cloying which is very impressive. Not my thing, but I can respect it. Especially the aroma; very enjoyable.

Bottled. Reddish amber colour, small head. Aroma is raisins, alcohol, some ripe fruits along with mild wooden notes. Flavour is wooden, resiny, sappy, alcoholic along with some ripe fruits. Surprisingly dry palate.

Many thanks to Rian for sharing! Smooth malty nose. The beer starts malty and sweet. Sweet malt, sugary sweet, malty sweet. The aftertaste has hints of wood, smooth sweetish sugary. No bitterness. Way too sweetish.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at laiti’s, 20150613, thanks) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had vanilla, malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were vanilla, malts, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had vanilla, sweetness and malts. Despite its high ABV and strong sweetness this beer was an enjoyment to drink. Very weill done.

500ml bottle, thanks VastActiv!
Pours reddish orange with a tiny head. Aroma of wood, oak, vanilla, toffee, caramely malts and syrup. Taste is heavy, syrupy and oaky with loads of wood, vanilla, toffee and caramel. Finish is sweet, heavy and syrupy with loads of bourbon, wood, oak, vanilla and toffee. Quite heavy with the bourbon notes.

Bottle 0.5l at Laiti’s, Helsinki. Thanks to Jow! Colour is clear dark orange with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Caramel, some fruits, some hops, sweetness and malts. Strong maltiness but too sweet for me. Can’t find any bourbon barrel aged elements.

50 cl bottle (13%) @ home
Aroma has sweet malty tones, some smoke and toffee candy. Very sweet, very sticky – like a BW with touch of smoke. Flavour is sweet with ripe fruits, caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon and mild smoky notes. Also biscuity malt. Sweet all the way – works as a slow sipper but drinkability is not that great.
