Our spring seasonal offering brewed with 100 percent positive vibrations and single-hopped with Citra hops. The presence of the Citra hop is elevated by a clean fermenting lager yeast that allows the subtle Pilsner, Munich and Vienna malts to lay a crisp, bready foundation. The citrus and tropical fruit character of the Citra hop comes from kettle additions followed by a huge dose of ‘em again in the fermenter.

Enjoyed in Vermont on our 2017 Easter trip with friends. Poured a light golden colour, slightly hazed, with a big frothy off-white head, good retention and lots of thick creamy-foamy lacing. Grapefruit aromas with grassy notes of saaz over pils malts. Still lots of grapefruit in the taste, overpowering the rest. Mouthfeel is a mix between creamy and dry, with a nice bitter finish. Not feeling much the pils notes as the hops take over. Still, a nice refreshing citra and mantra IPA-style brew.

Tap at RFD. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is citrus with a mild cat pee aspect. Med +body. Flavor is citrus in a near burning way. Nice malt support . Excellent. It wants to be dank.

2 month old bottle > chalice. A: Poured a finger of tight froth that retained well on a clear pale gold body. No visible bubbles but sheets of lace. S: Fresh oranges and sweet bread dough. T: Resinous and bitter. Pith and zest out front with a hint of alcohol and baked bread rather than dough. Citrusy aftertaste. M: Resin and a slight chewiness. Medium bodied finishing wet and sticky. O: Unsure if it’s great or poor but definitely different and interesting. Overall though not what I generally look for in a lager.

Clear golden coloured body with the slightest bit of haze and a nice, thinnish two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of very nice and fragrant tropical fruit and citrus hops with a smooth but noticeable malt essence. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavour at first with a good kick of the hops, but shows some malt elements, a touch of effervescence from the yeast and a good complex herbal and spice characteristic at the end. Aftertaste is nice and complex, especially for a lager, with some very fresh hop notes throughout. Overall, a nice and subdued beer that still shows a lot of flavour and especially complexity, for a lager. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman’s in Alexandria, Virginia on 03-May-2016 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington on 18-May-2016.

Draught @ Madison Grill - Hoboken. Hazy bright orange with very small frothy white head, citrus peel aroma, low carbonation, crisp hoppy taste, long bitter finish. Very nice, IPA like brew.

Bottle poured into pint glass from Signal Variety, Plaistow NH. Aroma is citrus dominant over a mild yeasty and bready smell (had one of three with fairly strong yeasty ammonia/cat piss and b.o./dirty laundry smell and a little bit of bread--will give a pass that that was a bad one). Appearance is hazy yellow with nice sparkle, two finger-width fluffy white head and nice lacing. Taste still has the sour ammonia/cat piss (more than the aroma) with a strong citrus back end. Palate is medium bodied with sticky texture, somewhat astringent with average carbonation and very dry, bitter finish you can feel in your back teeth. Overall, I was really looking forward to this beer. There is a fair amount of complexity here but not all of it is good.

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-hazy yellow color with a light transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising to fill a three finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving some light ringy foamy lacing cutting into the glass appropriately.
The smell had a sweet to semi-bitter connotation of citrus spiced rind over some light biscuity breadiness. It’s backed up by a nice sweet floral aspect as well.
The taste was moderately bitter with a sweetness sliding in to confide in a sweet smooth yet bitter sticky citrus aftertaste and a light sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation comes across fairly tame allowing a sticky smooth citrusto grassy feel rolling over my tongue.
Overall, I say as an India pale lager it works. Not sure why it’s labeled as an Imperial lager on here. Just cause it’s got a higher ABV doesn’t mean it’s an Imperial lager. Eh, oh well, whatever. It’s good for what it is and would be a good food beer.

Poured from tap light golden color with a thin white head. Aromas of juicy citrus and hop. Taste is ok but left something to be desired.
