Crispy Boys is a light-colored, dry, and crisp West Coast IPA brewed in collaboration with Crooked Moon Brewing from Sweden. We took this West Coast IPA in a different direction this time and dry-hopped it with Southern Hemisphere Nectaron and Galaxy hops, and added some Taiheke in the whirlpool.

Can, eight weeks after canning. Pours slightly hazy yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is citrusy hops with grapefruit, orange peel and stone fruits, as well as malts with cereals and toffee. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is piney hops with citrusy notes of grapefruit, lime, marmalade and stone fruits, as well as malts with cereals and toffee. Lingering citrusy, hoppy finish. Clean, bitter and refreshing.

From can at MB2 18.03.26. Translucent straw colour. White head. Clean aroma and taste of pine, papaya, bitter pine shoots, bitter citrus and pale malt. Good!

Can at home. Pours hazy golden with off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruits, pine needles. Tastes bitter with little sweetness. Medium bodied, dry mouth feel, bitter finish. A good beer for grown ups.

Can @ gunnfryd. Almost clear golden body under a big, dense off-white head. Aroma has malt, generic fruit and some pine. Taste is smooth, mild malt, light fruity and decent bitterness. Not to typical a west coast in my book but sure a decent beer.

0,44 rasjon fra fjernlageret på Kilden, hjemme: nesten helt klar lys gylden med fint skum. Crisp (!) og elegant citrusparade hvor særlig lime og grapefrukt viser seg fra sin beste side. Fin bitterhet og maltsmaken er også upåklagelig. Lett krydret avslutning med pregnant mersmak.
