Clean, deeper amber colour with a warm, light-beige head, decent retention and minimal soapy lacing. A nice caramel malt base in the nose with a touch of plums, apples, bread and wheat. A slick mouthfeel that does not stick to much in the end. Dark fruity flavours, soft toffee, a tad warming from the well-hidden alcohol, and a mild hoppy finish. Quite an easy-drinking Doppelbock, without being overly complex, but still hitting the spot.

Dark fruits, a bit of smoke and some residual sugar... I feel some peat moss too, so I couldn't tell between this and a scotch ale. A little thin for the style but quite tasteful, so I'd like to age it to 18 months to see how it compares to references of the same style. I'd surely buy it again. I tasted it today, and it's my 1st review here.

A reddish copper ale with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, alcohol warmth, light caramel, pleasant. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with dark fruits, alcohol warmth, light vanilla, very nice. On tap at brewery.
