2 year (+) old bottle. Pours a deep dark brown colour and a firm light brown head with still good retention. Aroma's of sweet & sour fruit, raisins, old wood, light umami, a bit alcoholic. Retronasal there's some sherry, some sweetness, wood, some sourness. Flavour is moderate sweet with light fruity sourness. Alcohol feel is quite strong and initially rather hot. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long finish, somewhat woody and light bitter. Really good.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, raisin, sherry, confit fruit and marzipan in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with sherry, confit cherries, a soft sourness and dried fruit. Marzipan in the finish.
Incredibly herbal, some dried spice, tonka?! Dark chocolate up front, fairly bitter. Not sweet at all, only a bit from the PX, in a very subtle way. Good body, creamy mouthfeel, decent carbonation. Interesting how this aged. Weird, but I like it a lot!

330ml bottle, thanks to monstermagnet for this. Pours a deep hazed brown, good off-white topping. Aroma bears quite strong pedro notes, additional moist fruit cake, chocolate, sherry. Smooth, full-flavoured character with rich moist fruit cake, sherry, vanilla, red wine, smooth wee heavy malts, moderately sweet. Excellent winter warmer.

Picked this up from De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands and consumed at Mini Camping Polderflora, Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands Sunday 23rd September 2018. Pours a dark filthy brown colour with a sticky off white head, in fact scrub that it's a light cappuccino coloured Head. Thick in the mouth, sweet but the PX adds a nice touch. Vanilla, molasses, sticky figs, great. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.1

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before July 2022. Clear, dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit herbal-spicy aroma of caramel, raisins, oak and licorice root. Fairly sweet, malty, a bit roasty, quite herbal-spicy and a bit fruity taste of caramel, milk chocolate, raisins, prunes, oak, licorice root and a touch of coconut, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly roasty, quite herbal-spicy, a bit woody and warming (but not boozy) finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. That's really nice barrel-aging as it's not overpowering but adding complexity. Surely one of the best barrel projects from Kees I've tried so far!
