This straw-coloured beer bursts with a zesty, citrus character, its pink grapefruit notes
mingling with tropical hints and balanced by a subtle malt backbone.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#26. Found the last two I have not had on a forced maintenance trip to Rochdale, but only time for a taster with this one, however that's all that's required as the pink grapefruit is potent and stated in this one, neither sweet, not too bitter though, allowing its pleasant texture to shine.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a pale straw with a small foamy almost white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly grapefruit with hints of mango. In the mouth it is decidedly sweet (though not overly so), but after a while a little underlying bitterness can be detected. The flavour is soft citrus and sweet grapefruit with some traces of floral hops and malts later on. This is quite decent – better than expected.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale straw coloured pour with a ring of white head; fresh grapefruit aroma; rather watery but with a fresh grapefruit taste; then a pithy bitterness. Clean, crisp and refreshing.

Third of a pint in my local Spoons on 7th March 2026. Nearly didn't have this, Pink Grapefruit not being a favourite fruit of mine. Glad I did though, because I enjoyed it. Bright light golden body, white topping. Sure it's got a Pink Grapefruit aroma and flavour but it's more subtle than 'in your face' and I thought it a very pleasant thirst quencher in amongst the mostly malty brown ales available on the bar at the time.

Cask handpull at Barrel Vault JDW St Pancras. Clear very pale gold colour thin white head. Yes pink grapefruit flavour but it doesn't taste artificial. Very light malts. Some bitterness on the finish. Very refreshing light ale. Good fruit flavour if pink grapefruit. Decent.

5/3/2026. Cask at wetherspoon’s beer festival. At the Bell Hotel, Norwich. Clear pale pour. Light grapefruit aroma, tropical, a little rubbery. Quite sweet, with some developing bitterness and some drying notes. Finished sweet. Not a big fan. This was served straight from cask.
