We love working with our local farmers! Generous amounts of roasted sweet potatoes from Delvin Farms go into this silky smooth stout. Melodies of coffee and dark chocolate transition to a chorus of toasty, roasty notes.

Tap. Medium to dark brown. Light colored, small head. Aroma was coffee, roasted nuts, don’t really smell any sweet potato. Taste is a little weak with touches of coffee and chocolate.

Draft at the brewery, Nashville, TN. Pitch black with a light tan head and excellent retention. Dark and thick with a creamy mouthfeel, but not too heavy. A bit of molasses flavor with a light boozy finish. Not bad, but not my preferred stout profile.

On tap at TBW. Dark brown, ok, has toasty notes, not bad, some sweetness. Ok stout.

On tap at Tennessee Brew Works, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out earthy notes, with toasted malt. Flavour is very earthy, with toasted malt and some bitterness. Morning really uniquely reminiscent of sweet potatoes here other than earthiness. Decent.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of dark grains and roasted malts with a touch of sweet potato backing. Flavor combines earthy dark grains and sweet potato with a strong roasted malt note supporting.

Tap @ Tennessee Brew Works, Nashville, Tennessee. Black with a creamy off-white head with very light roasted malts in aroma and taste - but slightly better in the latter.

Sweet potato really well integrated like Norwegian education system. And i don’t even like sweet potato usually. Roast and some caramel. Pours black with decent head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at brewery.

Thin whispy head, mediocre nose. Starts with a mild hit of cherry-raisin sweetness, then rolls into a weak chocolate-chicory middle. Finishes easy, a slight bitterness popping up but getting offset by a modest sugary yam streak. Needs a bit more heft, but strangely pairs well with a loaded Chicago dog.

Draft at Suttree’s courtesy of Suttree (no relation), thank you sir! Almost black color, brown head. Aroma of sweet cocoa. Taste is bittersweet cocoa powder. Good body. One of the best sweet potato stouts from Tennessee I have ever had.
