750 ml bottle from brewery. Hazy amber orange pour. Finger-high creamy beige head. Earthy, rustic bread aroma hints at honey and oak. Flavor is tangy malt, earthy yeast, crusty bread, apple peels and deciduous funk. Hints of preserved lemon, toffee, wood and tangerine peel. Smooth mouthfeel, but zesty. Nicely done.

Sampled from the tap at Tørst. Pours a clear reddish amber with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice red wine barrel note with some slightly tart stone fruit, hay and a bit of raspberry underlying. Flavor has light stone fruit and strawberry with red wine and a bit of straw backing.

750ml bottle, thanks Jan! Pours hazy yellowish with a smooth head. Aroma of funky farmyardy notes, tartness, spices, fruits, bretta, oak and wood. Taste is funky, farmyardy and tart with some yeast, earthiness, bretta, wood and spices. Finish is really funky and woody with some tart fruits, earthy notes, farmyard and yeast. Quite funky and farmyardy. Nice.

Bottle from the source: pours deep and slightly hazed gold with a white head. Aroma is light tree, but so much of the aroma is must and basement funk. Taste is also funky in this filthy and dirty way. Some light sweetness. Subtle but sharp tanginess. The sort of fruitiness you would find in a strange foreign soda. Complex. Interesting. Enticing. Loud yet delicate.

Bottle dated May 21, 2014. Aroma is fruity with a lot of stone fruit, pineapple, tropical fruit and light citrus. Light white wine notes and oak tannins. Medium light phenolic notes. Pours a hazy, bright, copper color with a medium large, moderately thick, white head that slowly recedes. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly acidic with some light grain notes and sweetness. Medium pineapple and stone fruit notes with a bit of cherry. Some white wine and grape notes with a bit of oak tannins. Medium bitterness with some moderate phenolic notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice Saison. Nice barrel and wine notes with good yeast character. Phenolics are nice as is the citrus character. I guess the phenolics are slightly medicinal but its very faint.

Hazy light amber golden color. The nose is pronounced with lots of sourness funk, oak, oranges and brett going on. Much tarter than expected. Very sharp, high adicity, with white wine blending nicely. The oak dominates perhaps a bit too much and has some tannins at the end from the oak. Decent beer, but not a saison.

5 Kay, 7.5 Kay, 10 Kay tasting. Thanks to Colin. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and crisp. Mild bretty savoury vibe. Bitterish peel and floralness. Light dry finish. Quite bitter for a saison but all right.

The nose is fresh, funky, dough, orange rind, sherbet, light spice, some acidity and vinous notes. The taste is crisp, doughy, earth, straw, sour yoghurt, spice, orange, tangerine, winey stuff and toasty grain. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Well rounded and easy-going.
