12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s Richmond. Pours a reddish brown with a large head and nice lacing and retention. Very corny and slightly earthy aroma. Meh. Weird smoked malt taste reminiscent of ham. Very strange. Thin body.

Bottle. Pours a light brown color with a bit of a tan head. Aromas are of dirt, toffee, and something a little nutty. Flavor is about the same... kind of a non-descript, but nice, mix of sweetness, earthiness and nuts... Nice enough without being too exciting.

Bottle. Dark caramel beer with a light tan head. Caramel, mineral aroma. Light caramel, light minsreal, light grassy flavor. Medium bodied. Light malt/grain lingers with faint hops and light caramel.

Brown bottle from Trader Joes. Strong aroma of somewhat roasted caramel malt. Mahogany color with a beige/tan head that quickly ringed. Thin to medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is roasted malt, so a bit sweet, seems to have some nut. Not getting much hop except perhaps a bit of grassiness. The finish is mildly sweet with some veg/hop to sort of balance. It’s not a bad dark lager, especially considering the price.

12 oz bottle from Trader Joes; Nose is roasty malt with a very light coffee note; clear dark brown with a big beige head; flavor of lightly burnt caramel, brazilnuts, and coffee deep in the background. Beats the hell out of the Trader Jose Premium Lager!
