Hand pulled half pint in my local Spoons on 10th March 2026. Poured a lovely bright mahogany colour, cream coloured crown on top. Malty (heavily roasted), bitter and earthy, liked it.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#17. Dark clear amber coloured ale. Good steady hoppy-maltiness, very sessionable as well as nice looking.

Pint at the Cross Keys in The City. This was ok, but really nothing special. It was just beer..... No hops, no nothing. Could just be another macro

5/3/2026. Cask at wetherspoon’s beer festival. At the Bell Hotel, Norwich. This was served straight from cask. Pours fine. Aroma is malty, nutty, fruity, rye bread notes. Drying bittersweet taste. Good and hoppy. Decent.

Cask at Montgomerys Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours a solid ruby with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly malts with some fruity hints - plums and cherries. In the mouth it starts off sweet with a creamy texture but very quickly a little bitterness comes to the attention. Flavour is mainly red fruits with some underlying malts and hints of floral hops and spices. There’s more bitterness in the finish. This is decent.
