Crisp, slightly hazy pee coloured body with a bright yellow glow, some hints of gold and a thin, two centimetre tall just off-white head, interesting, but nice coloured, knowing it’s beer. Aroma of grass, light hay, citrus and a dose of astringent hops. Light-bodied; Sharp grassy and herbal flavours at first with a big dose of citrus and fresh cut grass along with a mellow biscuity malt and the noticeable addition of a lager yeast, seemingly german. Aftertaste shows some nice hoppy bitterness, a dose of the citrus, a lot of grass and herbs and finishing with a smooth and subtle sweetness. Overall, a nice lager with a lot of flavours, some good hop elements, a nice balance and quite a bit of complexity for a lager and the style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 26-April-2017 for US$2,49, sampled at home in front of the store on 15-June-2017.

At the source: pours clear light gold with white head. Aroma is slight flowers and grains and bread. Taste is moderately bitter. Very light bodied. Does not try to be an IPA, rather a very hoppy pils.

/16oz pint at Iron Horse DC. Pours a clear yellow, almost a neon yellow, with some sudsy white head. Nose is fine, some yeast and malt, lemon, lime, a little cardboard. Flavor falls off the cliff though. Maybe I had a bad tap line? Either way, I didn’t like it much. Flavor had creamed corn, a little trashy, some lemon, yeast. Trashy, stale finish.

Consumed at the source. Poured a very light, though vibrant, almost light neon yellow color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is some light crisp grains, touch of light hops. Flavor is almost creamy malts with nice citrus notes from the hops. A lot more refreshing than the abv conveys. This should be refreshing when the summer comes along.

Everybody seems to be making these around here and none of then are very exciting. Like IPAs for macro beer drinkers. Pours cloudy blonde with OK head and lacing. Some hops and booze in aroma. Light bitter finish. Taster at brewery.
