Despite its dark colour, the body stays light and drinkable. Bitterness is moderate, keeping the beer balanced and easy to return to.

330ml can via Beer52. Poured into my old Gordon's thistle shaped glass at home on 30th May 2026. Black bodied, beige roof. Toasted malts with burnt pine and coffee grains coming to mind as i sipped the final beer of the day (not too heavy a day).

Can from Beer52. It pours clear very dark brown with a lively, fluffy off - white head. The aroma is toasty, earthy roast, charred pine, coffee grounds, cacao nibs, chocolate and liquorice. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, earthy roast, filter coffee, charred wood, cacao nibs, toasted brown bread, light spice and some umami vibes. Finish is roasty and drying. Light+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Delivers a lot for the abv. Works well.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A dark mahogany coloured pour with a thick beige head; rich chocolate malt aroma; smooth chocolatey body with sweet malts and some coffee; then a more pronounced coffee finish - fruity and dry. Very pleasant.

Dark brown, opaque with a small beige head. The aroma is dominated by nuttiness, coffee, and dark chocolate. The body is light, creamy, and the saturation creates a pleasant foam in the mouth. The taste is reminiscent of the aroma, with coffee offering acidic notes, dark chocolate with nuts, and herbal and slightly pine bitterness. It's more reminiscent of an Irish dry stout than a brown ale.

Very dark brown/red, tan head
A - coffee, toffee, liquorice
F - coffee, milky dark chocolate with nuts, slight piney hops
its like drinking a dairy milk bar with nuts, smooth body and surprisingly tasty for just 3.6%, nicely balanced bitterness
