A balanced dark beer with a softer roasted profile. Caramel and toasted malt notes lead, followed by light spice and gentle bitterness. Next to the spices there is also the deductible aroma of oranges present. The body is smooth and medium-light, keeping the beer approachable despite its colour. A calm, easy-drinking dark beer with good balance.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A dark amber pour with a thick beige layer on top; aroma of malt and caramel; quite a rough malty taste; then an earthy caramel finish. Not your typical stout.

Can direct from Beer52. It pours deep red - brown with a lively off - white head. The aroma is toasty, earthy roast, caramel, cola, dried fruits, Dr Pepper, fruit cake, light vanilla, brown bread, ryvita and a touch of sweet popcorn. The taste is firmly dry, earthy, slightly charred, ashy embers, cacao nibs, earthy, burnt toast, dried fruits, fruit cake, malt loaf and cola with a drying, burnt finish. Medium and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Nice elements to it, but has a slightly burnt aftertaste.

Light brown, hazy, with a small, light beige head. The aroma is subtle, with a touch of cardboard and a light fruitiness. The body and carbonation are medium. The taste is dominated by fruitiness, with some melanoid notes and a slight herbal bitterness. It doesn't resemble a stout in any form.
