Draught @ the Arsenal. Opaque dark brown with small frothy beige head, mocha aroma, sweet mocha taste, low carbonation, somewhat thick body, long mocha finish. The coffee component is stronger, but a bit thin in general.

75cL bottle, hangtag says 7,2% abv Deep dark brown coloured body with about 90% opacity. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, earth, grain and some light spices coming through. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavours with a bunch of sweet elements showing caster sugar, caramel, canella and a bit of lactose still around. Strong aftertaste of roasted malt, licorice, aniseed and a bit of grain that overpower the sweetness. Overall, a decent stout, but leaning too much on the pungency of the malt and the thinness of this one stood out on the ’con’ side of things. Not a bad beer, but definitely not worth US$12,00 for 75cL! I sampled this bottle passed out by one of my teammates after a hockey game in Arlington, Virginia on 01-June-2016, purchased earlier in the evening at BlueJacket in Washington, DC for US$12,00 for the 75cL bottle.

Draft at the source. Dark brown color, dark brown head. Beautiful aroma of cinnamon, vanilla on a background of cocoa. Taste is smooth, silky, lightly spiced. Chilis are maybe a bit too subtle, but it’s a delicious beer.
