Boson de Higgs

A light yellow, hazy, a head is white and small. Aroma has dry smoke, sourness and fruitness, some lemon. Taste has riped fruits, nice smokyness, even overriped fruits, some (milk)sourness. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Weird mix of styles, fascinating.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak smoky aroma. Fruity malty spicy weak yeasty and weak smoky flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty weal smoky finish.

bottle from kihoskh, clear yellow, smooth small white head. aroma is mild smoked, the smoke is meaty. flavor is wheaty, notes of smoke, notes of belgian yeast, a little salty notes, also some sweet fruity notes. qutie nice.

750 ml bottle @ Schouskjelleren May 2014. Unclear yellow body with a small, lacing white head. Qite strong aroma of smoke and bacon with mild malt. Flavor is surprisingly refreshing, light malty, fruity, smoke and salt. Medium body and decent aftertaste. An unusually beer, both weird and refreshing. Difficult to rate actually, but I kind of like it.

Bottle. Golden -yellow - orange colour with a white head. Aroma is yeast, smoked, malt, grain. Flavour is yeast, malt, hop, citrus, smoked, coriander, spices, grain, grass. Medium body. Nice beer.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 7/2014. Pours hazy bright golden color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, bread, wood smoke, hay, straw, grass, clove, pepper, light vinegar/funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, smoke, and light funk notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, bread, wood smoke, hay, straw, grass, clove, pepper, light vinegar/funk, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy/smokey yeast spiciness and slight tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, bread, wood smoke, hay, straw, grass, clove, pepper, light vinegar/funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, smoke, and light funky flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 3.8%. Overall this is a very nice and unique session smoked saison style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, smoke, and light funky flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Even with the unique flavor profile and style mixture, everything came together very nicely. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle, 115 13. A slow, to a somewhat geological extent, gusher that pours hazy light yellow with a nice dense creamy head. Aroma is quite tart and yeasty, with whiffs of smoky bonfire and sausage water, as well as nice fruity hops with passion fruits and apricots. Full body with average carbonation. Flavour is tart with spicy yeast, roasted malts with wood and smoke as well as hoppy apricots and orange peel. Nice lingering yeasty finish.

On tap at Vices et Versa. God I love the name on this beer. it is a cloudy light straw gold. It has a mild fruity earthy aroma.  The taste is earthy, lots of maple, smokey, honey glazed ham - good stuff. Very good stuff especially when you consider the low ABV.

Mild rauchiger Antrunk mit säuerlichen Noten, die schnell verschwunden sind. Dafür im Mittelteil vollmundig, etwas hefig, leicht herb. Eher langweiliger Nachgeschmack mit einer Mischung aller vorherigen Aromen in ihrer milden Form. 11/11/8/9/8/10

Station Ho. St., Montreal tap: Pours whitish, cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is light bits of funk, a bit of smoke, and some of that sour tart smell, whatever that is. Taste was not as sour as I expected that it would be, and it was actually more sweet than I thought it would be. The body was also fuller. There was also some spiciness in there.
