Batch 1904 is a UK style dry, tart cider with a refreshing full apple finish. We only use one ingredient: 100% Ontario handpicked heritage apples, from the Georgian Bay and Niagara microclimates. No ingredient travels further than 300 kilometers from the tree to our Ciderhouse in Toronto - a benchmark for local food and sustainability. This is a bright cider, with a glowing huge created naturally from the apples.

Can from the lcbo. Very pale yellow pour, with a small super quickly dissipating head. Tart apples, some wet paper notes, a good balance between the sweet and tart. Good carb, crisp mouth feel. A solid cider.

16oz can. Appley nose (duh), juicy really. Flavor is apple. This is super basic. Off dry finish. Not bad. Just not good.

Pint can poured into a glass at The Hearth at the Toronto Pearson airport. Clear pale yellow. Aroma is apples and medium body. Taste is nice apple. Advertised as dry, but more balanced. Easy to drink.

(473ml can from a friend) Pours clear deep gold with a small white head. Notes of fairly sweet and fruity apples, some apple skin, a little slightly bready yeast, mineral balance, light tannin and maybe a hint of Brett-like funk but it could be my mind playing tricks. Semi-dry into the finish, lingering apple character. Light to medium body with good effervescent carbonation. No real surprises here but a nicely crafted simple semi-sweet cider that has rather high drinkability.

On tap at Brickworks, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a champagne-like effervescence, with dry apples, some skins, and a hint of wildness. Flavour matches all these qualities, with a lot of the champagne character. Really nicely done.

Smells of soft sweet apple with some wheat dough, has an okay soft foam and yellow body. Flavour is bright apples with some sweetness. Full enough on the mouth. Rather boring but all right on a hot summer day.

A blonde bubbly cider with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity apple juice with light mineral notes, light acidic notes, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity apple juice with light mineral notes, light acidity, some nice tangy character, well done. Can from LCBO. About 1 year old.

On tap. Pours a clear pale yellow with no head. Sweet aroma of apple juice. Sweet flavour of red apples with a crisp, dry, tart, slightly acidic finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing, but lacks any complexity.
