Can, actually a rather artistic can. Slightly cloudy gold with a nice spicy taste and aroma.

From tap at NOLA Brewing, New Orleans. Herbal Saison with peppery yeast, notes of grass, some citrussy lemon, and malt. Bit sweet and bitter flavour, hint of sour. Medium bodied. Nice herbal Saison.

That's a damn fine saison. It's smooth and enjoyable. It's really really well done.

On the dry side for a Saison, with a pronounced floral bitterness in the finish that comes across too aggressive for the gentler farmhouse notes. Straw, grass, clove, and vanilla all show up, as do tart green apple and lemon, with mild herbs and pepper on the fade. Doesn't coalesce into a great beer, though; the elements are noticeable but disparate, and the strong bitter back end seems out of place. Looks absolutely beautiful, though, pouring a slightly hazed gold with a huge white fluffy head and amazing lace. Otherwise rather skippable.

Draught@Akkurat, Stockholm (old backlog, 2011/12ish). Copper colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is slightly smoked wet wooden notes along with mild spruce, herbs, citrus and some bready malts. Flavour is rather similar, but slightly more herbal and earthy.

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a slight, white cream head. Mild saison yeast in the nose, some hay, lemon zest. Light-medium sweet flavour with some subtly doughy wheat, a little bitter hay, grain husk, lemon and tangerine, faint bubblegum. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish, with further husky grain, wheat bread, yeast, lemon peel, hay. Good saison.

Pale and a bit hazy. Aroma is a bit of coriander, light plastic, malts a bit doughy, and with a mellow spicy finish.

Draft at the source. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Nice aroma of peppery barnyard. Taste has duty lemon, white pepper. Very solid saison.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 11 Aug 2011) Hazy amber colour with rocky, off-white head. Malty, spicy nose with grass, hay, herbs and slightly earthy hops. Fruity, slightly tart taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, grass and a generous, spicy bitterness in the finish. Dry, refreshing and slightly tart. More than medium body. Didn’t really expect that from Louisiana, but this is quite an excellent little saison. Very nice.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Cloudy dark yellow, small head. Funky lemony nose. Medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by cobweb fun and lemon peels. Some hay-like bitterness. Laid back and pleasant.
